Geek Chic This Week (5/6/12)

Geek Chic This Week is a new feature I'm trying out on the blog to talk about the books I received this week, whether bought, borrowed, or mysteriously left on my doorstep! It's inspired by the Story Siren's In My Mailbox.

*Edited to add: Even though I've decided not to do In My Mailbox anymore, I still stand by what I said last week. It's a great meme and I'm totally fine with anyone who wants to continue with it. It's a personal choice! I'd still love to see what books you got this week, no matter what meme/feature you use :D*

(Huge thanks to the supercool CJ for helping me with the logo!)
This week was awesome! I didn't get a lot of books, but I got several that I'm SUPER excited about!!

FROM THE LIBRARY

-Haven by Kristi Cook. I've already read this one before, but I got it again because I liked it, and the sequel, Mirage, is coming soon!

-The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I've been DYING to read this book for approximately forever, and I FINALLY got it from the library! Yay!

-The Alchemy of Forever by Avery Williams. This is a book I've thought looked interesting for a while, and I just got it in on hold :)

-MAX by James Patterson. For the Max Ride Reading Challenge (Hosted by Ella at Musings in Ink and Mag at Geek Chic [that would be me])! Don't forget it's never too late to SIGN UP. Plus, check out the FUN STUFF. (I know the fun stuff page looks kinda boring now, but awesome things are coming!!)

-The Final Warning by James Patterson (not pictured because I already returned it). Also for the MRRC. Already finished it! Review is HERE!

ON MY KINDLE

-The Last Boyfriend by Nora Roberts (not pictured because it's on my Kindle and I don't have my Kindle right now ;D). I don't read a lot of non-YA books, but I will read the occasional Amish fiction or Nora Roberts book, because these are the things my mom and I read together :)

IN MY MAILBOX

(I was so excited when a box arrived containing THESE BOOKS!!!!!!)
-SHINE by Jeri Smith-Ready. !!!!!!!!! AAARGH it seems like I waited absolutely forever for this book! But you guys, it was so worth the wait! Like I said on Goodreads, my review will be up as soon as I can think about this book without hyperventilating.

-Insurgent by Veronica Roth. Again, !!!!!!! After I finished SHINE, I barely took a breath before I jumped into Insurgent. This is a FANTASTIC sequel that I keep going back to and flipping through, reading back over my favorite parts. GO READ INSURGENT. Or, if you haven't read Divergent, GO READ DIVERGENT. Really, you won't be sorry!!

So, what's in your mailbox this week? Leave me links to your book-sharing posts!!
