Geek Chic This Week (5/13/12)

Geek Chic This Week is a feature here at Geek Chic to talk about the books I received this week, whether bought, borrowed, or mysteriously found on a park bench! It's inspired by the Story Siren's In My Mailbox.

First things first--Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! Seriously, you guys absolutely rock!! (:D)

Also, I just wanted to mention the fact that I've been practically non-existent here for the last week. That's because of various things, but the point is that next week will be better--I've been having exceeding writer's block when it comes to reviews, but I'm determined to push past that and gets some reviews written. So look out in the coming week for reviews of SHINE, Storm, Darwin's Children, and maybe some others :)

Now, on to the books I got this week! I didn't get many, but I got some nonetheless ;D

FROM THE LIBRARY

-The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin. I already read this book last year (it was actually the last book I started in 2011--I finished it a little while after midnight on New Year's Day), but with all the excitement over the sequel, the Evolution of Mara Dyer, plus some awesome Mara pictures drawn by the awesome ice-ridden, I was dying to read it again. So I did. (Just finished it this afternoon ;D)

-Storm by Brigid Kemmerer. Storm, you guys! STORM!!!!! I've already read this one, as well, and I am thoroughly dying to read Spark, and of course, Fearless, the novella coming in August. Absolutely anything to get back into this awesome, AWESOME world!!! I completely fell in love with Becca and Chris, just so you know, and the other Merricks (just not as much as CHRIS)! Like I said above, review of Storm is coming later in the week :)

-Goddess Interrupted by Aimee Carter. I've been looking forward to this one for quite a while! I love Greek mythology and all kinds of retellings of it, and Goddess Test was awesome! I'm very excited to see what happens next, and if Kate will get her happily-ever-after with Henry :D

So, what's in your mailbox this week? Leave me links to your book-sharing posts!!
