Geek Chic This Week (6/3/12)

Geek Chic This Week is a feature here at Geek Chic to talk about the books I received this week, whether bought, borrowed, or fallen from the sky! It's inspired by the Story Siren's In My Mailbox.

Happy June, everyone! I hope you're enjoying the weather warming up! If it is where you are, I mean. It's certainly been warm here, surprisingly so :)

Anyway, on to the books!!

FROM THE LIBRARY

-Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. I'm not sure what kind of person/reader this makes me, but I've never read a Jane Austen book. Like, ever. But I've really been wanting to, and a friend of mine is also reading P&P for the first time, so I decided there's no time like the present!

-Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta. I've heard great things about this book, so why not?

-Tempest by Julie Cross. It's time travel! I love time travel! I already read it, and it was SO, SO GOOD!!!

-Ditched by Robin Mellom. Looks funny, and finally at my library!

-Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Another one finally at my library that I've been dying to read!!

-Taken By Storm by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Oh my. This was so good. Yet it shattered my soul. (HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO ME, JLB?????????) Urgh. I just...I just can't.

IN MY MAILBOX (KINDA)

-A Dog's Life by Ann M. Martin. Loaned to me by a friend. I don't know much about it, but it looks cool!!

-Denise by John Benton. Loaned by the same friend :)

-Grief Girl by Erin Vincent. Another loan from that friend. Looks really good!

BOUGHT

-City of Lost Souls by Cassandra Clare. COLS!!!! Read my excitement upon getting it HERE!

So what did you get in your mailbox this week? Leave me your book-sharing posts!!
